• High cut resistance: The pants are certified with 3 FIS Stars for cut resistance (CRG) in accordance with the FIS standard.
• Maximum abrasion protection: Provides effective protection in falls and slides on icy slopes. Abrasion resistance level 4/4 (EN 388:2016).

Care and Washing Instructions

To ensure that your DISTON cut-resistant garment retains its technical properties and durability for as long as possible, please follow these care instructions:

• Washing: Wash at MAX 30°C on a delicate cycle, or hand wash in lukewarm water.
• Detergent: Use a neutral or mild detergent suitable for hand washing. Avoid detergents containing harsh chemicals.
• Do not use fabric softener: Fabric softener can clog the spaces between the fibres and reduce the material’s breathability and the effectiveness of the cut-resistant structure.
• Drying: Do not tumble dry. Hang the garment to dry or lay it flat on a suitable surface. Avoid direct sunlight.
• Avoid: If ironing is necessary, use low heat only. Do not bleach or dry clean.

Storage

Proper storage helps ensure that the garment retains its shape and protective properties between seasons:

• Storage bag: Store the garment in the original bag supplied with the product.
• Clean and dry: Always make sure the cut-resistant garment is completely clean and dry before storing it for an extended period.
• Storage conditions: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
• Avoid mechanical stress: Do not store the garment compressed or near sharp objects, as this may damage the technical fibre structure.

Warranty and Service Life

DISTON cut-resistant garments come with a two (2) year warranty when used correctly.

As the product is relatively new to the market, we do not yet have complete data on its maximum service life. However, we know that a World Cup-level skier has already used the same suit for more than two years. We firmly believe that proper care and handling can significantly extend the service life of your garment, allowing it to remain in good condition for several years.

Important: Do not use a product that is damaged or torn.

Emergency Procedure: Cutting Through the Garment

If a DISTON garment needs to be removed quickly in an emergency situation to allow medical treatment, follow these instructions for cutting through the cut-resistant material:

1. Pierce the material with the tip of the scissors: To remove the garment, first make an opening in the fabric using a sharp tool. To avoid accidentally puncturing the body, pull the material away from the skin close to the point where you want to make the opening.
2. Cut along the direction of the fibres: Once you have made an opening, cut the garment vertically, following the direction of the knitted fibres. This is the easiest way to cut through the cut-resistant material.

A significant advantage of the DISTON protective garment is that it can be cut quickly from almost any point. This facilitates first aid, because unlike many other cut-resistant textiles, there is no need to locate a specific cutting point in order to gain access through the garment.
