The New (2024-2025) Rossignol FIS slalom skies in action - YEAS THEY ARE EVEN BETTER!
HSC Masters skier Hannu Hyttinen shares his experience on how he took a significant step forward with Rossignol's new men's FIS slalom skis.
Rossignol's latest race ski model for 2024-25, the Hero Athlete FIS SL Factory / 165, is an impressive example of product development. With the ski's new shape (including a 2 mm narrower tip and tail compared to last year's model), the turn initiation feels significantly more aggressive and dynamic, at least based on my early-season experience, while maintaining Rossignol's signature controllability in the tip. These characteristics stand out especially on ice and groomed slopes, showing a clear improvement over previous models.
I had the chance to test this new model at the indoor ski hall in Druskininkai during a September training camp, and I was very impressed. During the FIS Masters Indoor Cup races in the Hamburg-Wittenberg hall, the new race ski proved to be a true powerhouse, providing full confidence on icy terrain. I managed to place 4th and 5th in a tough international competition, and my FIS points improved noticeably!
P.S. I can also confirm that diamond-sharp edges honed on Carrot’s machine add even more power to skiing. Worth a try!

Thank you Hannu! Great ⛷️results also by the man himself!
Compared to the previous model, the ski has a 2 mm narrower tip and tail, as well as an entirely new longitudinal flex pattern.
