DISTON 4-Star cut-resistant garments are designed for competitive skiers who want protection beyond the standard minimum requirements without compromising comfort. This rating provides tested four-star cut resistance in accordance with the FIS CRG 2021 test standard for cut resistance.

This makes them an excellent choice for intensive training and demanding competition conditions.

4-Star protective garments are available for both juniors and adults.

Safety Standard: 4 FIS Stars

By choosing a 4-Star garment, you are choosing enhanced protection that goes beyond the minimum requirements:

• Cut protection rating: The knitted structure used in these protective garments achieves at least Level 4 in virtually all cutting directions according to FIS CRG 2021. This rating provides a more consistent and higher level of protection regardless of the direction of the cut.
• Performance level: Designed to provide enhanced ergonomics, support and durability for demanding training and competition.

Material and Construction

With 4-Star garments, the performance difference comes from the knitting technology, rather than simply from increased thickness:

• Composition: The material consists of the same blend used in the 3-Star garments (polyethylene, glass fibre, nylon and elastane).
• The difference: The fabric uses a more advanced knitting technology. Although it is not visibly much thicker, it provides a higher level of protection, with Level 4 cut resistance.
• Additional benefit: The material offers greater longitudinal stretch than the 3-Star garments, improving the skier’s mobility and overall comfort.
